Download new ringtones for your cell phone is easy - it's often free, whatever your Operator.

Level of Difficulty: Moderate

Directions

The internal method
  1. Determine if your operator offers a built-in method to download ringtones directly from your phone. This method is usually the most expensive, but very simple.
  2. Press the button to access the Web on your mobile. When loading, go to the "Downloads" section. There should be a section for rings.
  3. Listen and download new ringtones to your mobile phone from this section of ringtones.
Free ringtones
  1. Access the Internet through a computer
  2. Go to your preferred server search and search for "free ringtones". You will find different results.
  3. Choose a site that does not require registration. If you have even if you register, make sure that any boxes that will enroll you to receive e-mails or additional services are NOT marked.
  4. Find the ringtones that you like and ask that they be sent to your mobile. You will need to provide your Operator and your phone number if you have not done so. The new rings will then be sent to your handset.
Defining your new ringtones
  1. Decide whether you want to set a ringtone as universal touch that will play when you receive a call, or if you want to set specific ringtones to match specific entries on your phone. Thus, different tones will play when different people call you.
  2. Set a universal touch the Settings section of your phone. If you can not see the device manual. If you do not have the manual, you will probably find it on the internet or on the manufacturer (Motorola, Nokia, etc..) Or the Operator's website (Airtel, MTN, Numusicstreet etc.).
  3. Set a ring tone that is specific to a contact by first finding that person in your phonebook. Select the person to whom you want to assign the special touch. Select "Edit." Scroll through the calendar options and select "Touch." Select the ringtone you want to when that person calls.
