LG has officially announced its new flagship smartphone, the first to give the name Optimus, used so far by the company. G2 has a 5.2 inch IPS screen and promises "a new perspective in the design of smart phones."

LG G2 was designed as rival market leaders Samsung and Apple. The new smartphone is larger than the screen size of the Samsung Galaxy S4, proposing as an alternative a Full HD IPS display 5.2 inch, 0.2 inch higher than Korean smartphone with 1.2 inch over the phone Apple. It measures 8.9 mm in thickness and has the lateral margins of only 2.5 mm. Because smart phones are becoming increasingly large Korean company decided to move the two volume buttons and lock button on the back of the unit for easier access when the phone call. The same buttons can be used as shortcuts for opening the camera or the application for taking notes.
