Sony has announced the Xperia ZR, an Android waterproof smartphone. Xperia ZR has a small difference in other smartphones and there are same features such as the Motorola Defy.  It is a waterproof smartphone powered by SONY.

The Sony Xperia ZR is the first smartphone on the market that claims to shoot in high definition underwater. The manufacturer guarantees that it is water resistant, "since all doors and lids are tightly closed (...) and can be kept under 1.50 meters of fresh water up to 30 minutes," said Sony in its portal. It seems the ideal equipment for the pool.

SONY Xperia ZR is powered by 1.5GHz clock speed of processor Quad-core and it operate with Google's operating system Android version 4.1 jealybean. SONY is bringing it with scratch resistant screen of 4.6 inches with resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels, 2300 mAh battery, 8GB of internal storage with memory card slot.

It has all the features that Sony is putting on Android devices, like the Stamina mode, which increases the battery life by suspending applications when the screen is off, and applications Walkman, Album and Movies.
